Additionally, we’d like to send a final reminder for tonight’s Open House focusing on the RFPs (Requests for Proposal) for Camarillo Airport. The ranking process for the proposals has been completed, and the ranking positions have been shared with each of the entities that submitted bids. The top ranked team for each of the sites (the 4.1 acre site and the 1.9 acre site) have been invited to the Open House to engage with all stakeholders, including members of the public.

When: Tuesday, June 16th, 2026

Where: Ventura County Department of Airports Administrative Offices
555 Airport Way, Suite B
Camarillo, Ca. 93010
Time: 6 p.m.

Please note that the meeting will be recorded for those who are unable to attend in person. The recording will be made publicly available within a week after the meeting.

Additional Reminders:

We understand that the previous meeting (in March) that focused on the RFP proposals ran long, and this Open House is designed to provide an opportunity to share additional thoughts and answer any questions stakeholders may have. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the selected developers and stakeholders to engage productively as we move forward.

Additionally, the Department of Airports would like to address some of the misinformation that has been circulating and answer some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the RFP.

After the open house, the Department of Airports will share more detailed results of the ranking/selection process and the outcome of the Open House meeting with the Camarillo Airport Authority and Aviation Advisory boards during the regularly scheduled meetings for those groups in July. Members of the public are welcome to attend those meetings as well. At that point, the Department of Airports will begin negotiations for the lease and development plans with the top ranked proposer for each site, which typically takes several months.
