Happening this Week! Live Firefighter Training at OXR

The City of Oxnard and Ventura County Fire Departments, in coordination with the Department of Airports, will be conducting live fire training at Oxnard Airport beginning today, Monday, April 20th, through Friday, April 24th. This training is required to maintain compliance with Part 139 certification and Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) operational standards.

The community may notice smoke and/or flames on Airport property, notably in the area highlighted in the map below. This is the airline terminal aircraft parking ramp located at 2889 W Fifth St at the Oxnard Airport. This controlled activity is critical to ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of safety throughout all aspects of airport operations.
