Notice of Scheduled Runway and Taxiway Closures at Camarillo Airport

The Ventura County Department of Airports would like to inform the aviation community that runway and taxiway closures at Camarillo and Oxnard Airports are needed to support the update of our pavement maintenance plan.  The project consists of conducting a detailed evaluation of all airfield pavements at the Camarillo and Oxnard Airports.  The detailed pavement assessment includes performing a visual evaluation of existing pavement condition and surface distresses in addition to providing analysis and information on expected pavement life.  Visual inspections of pavements will occur during daytime hours and will not require closure of airfield pavements.  However, load testing of pavements at Camarillo Airport do require nighttime runway and taxiway closures to complete the work, so the closures have been scheduled for overnight hours to limit impacts to airport users.
