Airport Access Requirements
CLICK HERE - If you recently received a Driver’s Training Quiz Renewal Notice AND already have a Gate Card
Do the following:
- Watch this 17min video clip (optional)
- Answer a 20 questions quiz (no less than 16 correct to pass)
- When you hit submit, the quiz is emailed directly to the Department of Airports and the operations staff will extend your expiration date to 4/1/2025.
- Take the quiz (click here)
- If you do NOT already have a gate card and are taking the Driver’s Training Quiz for the first time, please click on the option below…
CLICK HERE - If this is your first time applying for a gate card or your card is lost or broken.
In order to obtain access to the airfield you must:
- Complete a Gate Card application
- Watch the 17-minute online video
- Submit online Driver’s Training Quiz
- Present your Driver’s License to Department of Airports
- Provide a tenant authorization (if you're not a tenant)
- Pay Gate Card fee ( $20 new, $16 replacement)

When you have completed the application, you will need:
- Drivers License or any form of Government Identification
- Payment for gate card: $20 new / $16 replacement
- Tenant authorization required (if applicable)
Online Video (17 minutes)
- If you are new to the airfield or just need a refresher, this video will help you understand the rules while driving on the airfield
- After viewing the video, take the online Driver’s Training Quiz and pass with a score of 16 correct or better.

- Take the Driver' Training Quiz
- You will need to pass the quiz with a score of 16 correct, no less.
- Once the quiz is complete please hit submit
- The quiz results will be emailed to the Department of Airports.
- Set up an appointment with the Airport Administration office by calling 805-388-4372, in order to purchase the card and get activated.
