Heart Aerospace, a company whose mission is to decarbonize aviation with the development of electric engines, has selected OXR as their home for R&D testing operations beginning August 4th. Originally founded in Sweden, the company recently established their headquarters in Irvine. They will be utilizing office space in the OXR terminal, which will house their software development, and will use ramp space directly in front of the terminal to establish their Propulsion Test Stand to test the engines and software. The testing is stationary and there will not be any flight activity from the testing. A 100’x100’ area will also be delineated by barricades for safety of our tenants.
It is important to note that the Propulsion Test Stand is expected to generate noise consistent with aircraft operating on the airfield. Operating hours will be between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Heart Aerospace currently has a six-month lease at OXR.
